Mars Curiosity has landed!

By Chase Aug6,2012

Do you remember where you were on Sunday, August 5th?  I was glued to my computer screen watching history in the making as the Mars Lander “Curiosity” made it’s decent to the red planet of Mars. While true there was “7 Minutes of Terror”, it felt forever.  All of those scientists at NASA JPL in California were biting nails, chewing thumbs, waiting patiently for the landing….hoping, praying for heartbeat…..and then it came….and it came with pictures of it’s shadow and it’s wheel!  And yes….it’s awesome!

This wasn’t only 9+ months of travel in the making….it’s over 30+ years.   From Apollo to Space Shuttles and now, the Mars Rover.   This is history.  This is Science. This is Geek and this is Awesome!

If you missed it, please take a look at our live coverage below.   It’s awesome!   Wait, didn’t I say that already?   Well it is! 🙂
